Privacy Statement

At Eurosealings, we respect your privacy. In this privacy statement, we explain what personal data we collect at the website, the purpose of processing and your rights as a consumer of the website.

1. When is this privacy statement applicable?

This privacy statement is applicable on all processings of personal data, or Personally Identifiable Information (PII information) of visitors of the website www.eurosealings.be. For terms and conditions concerning employees or customer contracts, refer to the specific statements in those contracts.

The GDPR 2016/679, the Privacy Law of 8/12 1992 and the law of electronic communication of 13/6 2005 as well as past and future updates of these laws regulate the protection of personal data. Eurosealings strives to comply with its obligations and to respect the rights of the customer whenever Eurosealings processes your personal data.

Eurosealings is responsible for the processing of personal data that is collected on the website and is represented by following entity:

Eurosealings has no designated DPO, as the very limited personal data processing is not carried out by a public authority, the activities do not consist of processing operations which require regular and systematic monitoring of data subjects at large scale nor does processing happen on a large scale of special categories or data.

3. What data is processed, for what purpose and on which legal ground?

Eurosealings collects following data when you visit the website eurosealings.be:

Technical Data: when you visit the website www.eurosealings.be, the browser automatically sends certain information to Eurosealings. This includes the IP address of your device and the url you are visiting. Eurosealings uses this technical information to deliver the web pages to your browser.

This technical data is as such needed to deliver our service to the consumer of the website in a secure manner. That is, without data like the IP address of your device, Eurosealings would not be in a position to deliver the web pages to your device.

Some of the technical data is also used by our hosting partner to prevent attacks, such as Denial of Service attacks, where multiple requests at the same time are fired in an attempt to get the website down. As a last way of processing, the incoming requests are also logged by the server, in order to be able to do log inspection and to debug problems whenever server problems arise.

Concerning the legal grounds and lawfulness of processing, this means that the processing of technical data is strictly necessary to provide the necessary services in order to serve the requested web pages by the browser in a secure manner. Furthermore, logging the technical requests as well as using the technical data to prevent attacks is in the legitimate interest of Eurosealings.

No other personal data is collected, than the data that is needed to process the web pages on www.eurosealings.be. Especially, no special categories or sensitive data is captured.

4. Automated decision-making and profiling

5. Data sharing and data processors

6. Data retention

The technical data mentioned in chapter 3 is only used and stored:

  • by the processor, for the time needed to serve the web pages and static resources such as images, scripts, stylesheets.
  • by the processor, in the form of log files, with log rotation and a log retention period of maximum 6 months

7. Consumer Rights

The right of personal data protection is a fundamental right in the European Union. As a consumer you are in full control of the data that is collected. As a visitor of the Eurosealings website, you have following rights:

Right of Access

You have the right to obtain from Eurosealings confirmation as to whether or not personal data concerning you are being processed, and, where that is the case, access to the personal data and get an insight on the purposes of the data collection, the retention policy and a copy of the collected data.

As we currently do not collect any PII data other than technical data, it would be impossible to collect any information other than that based on a device IP address.

Right of rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability

You have the fundamental right to rectify, erase or restrict the data that is collected by Eurosealings as well as port this data. Since we are only collecting technical data, this would in effect mean that we would delete entries from the log files for a proven IP address.

Remark that Eurosealings does not use this information for Direct Marketing purposes and no personal data is ever collected on www.eurosealings.be based on consent.

8. Security Measures

The data between the browser and the servers of the website www.eurosealings.be is protected in transit by Transport Layer Security (TLS) using TLS/SSL certificates. The website is only reachable by https. The connection to the website uses TLS 1.3, X25519, and AES_256_GCM. The TLS versions and encryption standards evolve whenever newer standards become the norm. Eurosealings uses Let's Encrypt certificates. This protects against Man-in-the-middle attacks (MITM) and prevents any data leaks by exploiting network traffic. All resources on the website are served securely.

The storage of the logs on the servers is also very well protected by our hosting partner and data processing partner Combell. As a guarantee of these security measures, Combell is ISO27001 certified since 2011. They have specific roles and persons to guarantee the security of the network, infrastructure and other information systems. They also take measures for password protection, encryption at rest, firewalls, anti virus, intrusion and anomaly detection and thorough access control for employees.

9. Cookies

The website www.eurosealings.be does not use cookies for serving data. No client side tracking of users for any purpose is applicable on the website with any of the techniques available. There is no form of fingerprinting, no client side sessions nor any form of advertising loaded on the website. As a result of these strict measures,, there is also no cookie banner.

10. Changes in the privacy statement

If changes are applicable in the privacy statement, the last update specification at the beginning of the document will be changed. Important changes will be prominent on the front-page of the website.
